  • Pack Your Stuff: Potential home buyers don’t want to see your personal possessions cluttering the house they are thinking about buying. You want the people who are considering your home to envision the space as their own, so make sure you remove any personal mementos such as family photographs, trophies or other markers of your past presence in the home. Also, keep in mind that moving your stuff out of the way can make the rooms and closets appear that much larger.
  • Purpose the Rooms: You want to make sure that each room in your house has an identity and a purpose. Home buyers love to imagine what they will do with certain areas, such as a living room or an office space.
